I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Division of Plant Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou). My research is in the Entomology Graduate Program Area within the Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences. I currently study how western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera LeConte) and how it interacts with corn (aka maize) modified to produce proteins from a naturally occurring bacterium (Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner). My interests lie in the responsible management of insect pests in agricultural systems.
